The St. Louis, Missouri, community is coming together in prayer and support for Jersey Greer and her mother, Jessica, who remain in critical condition following a tragic shooting/accident. As they continue fighting for their lives, family, friends, teammates, coaches, and members of the Northwest High School community are holding onto hope while rallying to support them during this unimaginable time.
Among those sharing heartfelt messages is Jersey’s lacrosse coach, who described the devastating impact the tragedy has had on the team.
“My heart is absolutely shattered for two of my players, Jersey, her twin Justice and their family. Jersey and her mom, Jessica, are both currently fighting for their lives and remain in critical condition. As her coach, getting to know Jersey has been such a gift. She is an incredible young woman who brings so much joy, laughter, and light to everyone around her.”
The coach went on to encourage the community to surround the family with love, prayers, and practical support as they face mounting medical expenses and remain focused on Jersey’s and Jessica’s recovery.
Those who know Jersey describe her as a remarkable young woman whose kindness, determination, and positive spirit have touched everyone around her. As a member of the Northwest High School lacrosse program, she has earned the admiration of teammates and coaches alike for her strength both on and off the field. Her twin sister, Justice, along with the rest of the family, now faces an incredibly difficult journey as they remain by the bedsides of their loved ones.
To help ease the financial burden during this crisis, the Northwest High School lacrosse program has organized a public fundraiser on behalf of Jersey and her family. Donations will go directly toward medical expenses and other unexpected costs, allowing the family to focus entirely on Jersey and Jessica’s care.
The organizers shared that they remain steadfast in their faith, believing in the power of prayer and miraculous healing.
“We are believing in God’s power to do what only He can do. We know that God is still capable of miraculous healing, and we are praying boldly for complete healing for both Jersey and her mom.”
